Grinding of the teeth

Is Tension the Actual reason for Teeth Grinding?

It is generally expected that tension causes people to grind their teeth. However is it really the only reason? The second most common reason next to stress that affect some people to grind their teeth can be a Bad Bite. So, how will this happen?

When the condyle up within the TMJ (temporomandibular Joint) is Not in Centric Relation when the teeth are closed together, afterward the basic foundation of the "Good Bite" is compromised, not stable, twisted or bad. Hence, sensing this offbite, whilst the brain inform the muscles to move and keep away from interferences (teeth in the way) during any jaw movement, the jaw muscles work over time holding the jaw in a position or way of movement called Engrams to compensate for the error of the bite. Once muscle engrams are there, the muscles can exhaustion and muscles usually do not work easily.

Once the person is sleeping, the unconcious acts of engrams are erased or else shut down. Then a muscles get over and attempt to grind, scrub, or else get rid of every teeth in the way. The teeth are usually in the way once the condyle is Not in Centric relation. Therefore, especially once the "Off bite" is critical, the teeth grinding at nighttime is going to be more probable. Afterward add stress fot it, and you've got a recipe for wearing down your teeth...toothaches...root canals and crowns. Certainly that's when the ache problems be able to show up on the jaw also.

Thus, there a mostly just about four Over The Counter mouthguards I suggest. You can read evaluations of these at this Mouth Guard for TMJ website.
